House, now part of school. Circa 1800. Coursed squared tooled stone with
plinth, alternating quoins and moulded eaves cornice. Graduated Lakeland slate
roof, stone stacks. 3 storeys and attic, 5 bays. Central Roman Doric porch,
distyle in antis, up 4 steps. Sash windows with glazing bars, shorter on second
floor. 3 added stone-coped attic gables with kneelers; end chimneys. Rear
elevation shows central Venetian stair window.
