Farmhouse. Late C18 with C16 chimney stack and rear wall. Red brick,
ashlar and rubblestone, with Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Stone
quoins to left. Central 6-fielded-panel door in C20 porch. To its right a
small arched window with stone sill. Outer bays have C20 bay windows.
First floor: three 4-pane sashes with stone sills. Stone coping. End stack
to right; large external offset stack to left end of ashlar and rubblestone.
Left return and most of rear is of late C16 ashlar and rubblestone.
Interior: left-hand ground-floor room has early-C17 plasterwork on ceiling
with vine motifs. Evidence of earlier timberwork, see North Yorkshire and
Vernacular Buildings Study Group Report.
