House. c1600, early C19 and C20 additions. Timber-framed and
rendered with weatherboard at base. Peg-tiled roof with one
gabled dormer window. 2 storeys and attic. Irregular wooden
casement windows and C20 porch. Central chimney-stack
(rebuilt) and minor stack at NE end. L-plan, front range with
cross-wing to NE and stack between the two units. They may be
contemporary or possibly the cross-wing slightly earlier.
INTERIOR: principal range has wind braced side purlin roof and
internal arched bracing but wing has internal tension bracing
and a window with ovolo and minor cavetto moulded main
mullions with diamond set slender mullions in between. Main
mullions are rebated for glazing. Lamb's tongue chamfer stops
on exposed cross-wing joists and bar and step stops on timber
lintel of fireplace on ground floor of main range. Late
C18/early C19 extension to NE, timber-framed also C20
extension at rear.
