Chimney for engine and boilerhouse (qv) at Goldstone Pumping
Station. 1866 for Brighton Hove and Preston Constant Service
Water Supply Company. Polychrome brickwork, yellow, red and
blue. Plan: detached chimney, rectangular in plan, about 29m
high. Style and detailing similar to that of the engine and
boilerhouse to south; stepped plinth, tall rusticated dado,
moulded base, recessed panel to each front of shaft with
arch-head top and linked entablature, moulded cornice, 2-bay
arcades on each front with similar detailing and moulded cap.
