Farmhouse. C18. Slatestone rubble, scantle slate roof with brick chimneys over gable
ends. 2 room, double depth central stair plan. 2 storeys. 3 window south front. 6
panel door slightly off centre to left, top panels glazed. Shallow, rubble porch with
low pitched slate roofed gable. Wide opening to right with original 24-pane, 3-light
casement. Early to mid C19 20-pane sash in square opening to left. 12-pane, 2-light
original casements to first floor. Wooden lintels to all openings. Painted plaster
aprons with incised arcading under sills. Roof sweeps lower to rear but was raised
slightly probably mid C19. Back door and blocked door, old casements and sash made of
C18 casements to stair window. Interior: original stone flagged floor, large hearth
with oven and adjacent curved recess to east end, further hearth to west end.
Original 2 panelled doors; post and panel partition; original open beam ceilings to
ground floor and mid C19 dogleg stair.
