Row of 7 cottages. Mostly late C18, but No.41 added in mid to
later C19; altered. Coursed squared sandstone rubble, with
roofs mostly of re-constituted stone slate except No.39 which
has stone slates now felted, and No.41 which has slate.
Double-depth plan, each cottage single-fronted, and No.41 set
back at the right-hand end. 2 low storeys, one window each;
vertical joints between Nos 29 & 31, and Nos 37 & 39; doorways
to the right except No.39 which is to the left, most with
simple rectangular lintels and all with altered doors; square
windows at ground floor and oblong windows above, most with
flush sills and simple rectangular lintels, except No.39 which
has a raised sill and No.41 which has raised sills and wedge
lintels, and all these windows with altered glazing. Ridge
chimneys and gable chimney to left. Forms group with No.22
opposite (qv), and with Nos 8 & 10 Tithebarn Street (qv) to
the south.
