House, formerly a mill. Late mediaeval origins, C17, C19 and C20 alterations
and extensions. Rubble, plain clay tiles. 2 and 3 storeys, 5 irregular
windows, all C19 and C20 2 and 3-light casements. C20 glazed and gabled porch,
stable door at right, corner chamfered and corbelled out to first floor, roof
slightly lower at left over 2 storey section, end gable shows raising of roof;
later lean-to extension and gabled dormer at rear. Interior: chamfered and
stopped spine beam to left, heavy chamfered beams to right with machinery marks.
Late C19 turbine, still in working order in mill race which still passes below
building at right.
