Inn. C17 to rear, early C19 front block, C20 alterations and additions.
Rubble with-stone dressings, asbestos slate roof with raised coped verges and
brick diagonal stacks in 2 large gables to rear, rear wing with double Roman and
pantiled roof. Symmetrical front. 2 storeys and 3 windows, all sashes in plain
surrounds, blocked central door with flat stone hood on shaped brackets, first
floor windows have external shutters, single storey C20 flat-roofed extension to
left with door. Left return has C20 door, first floor window and external stair;
right return has C20 door in ashlar surround, first floor sash and unglazed attic
window with flush keystone and relieving arch. Rear has 2-storey wing with two
2-light casements at ground floor and 3 under eaves, all C20 replacements, single
storey lean-to with C20 door and overlight; rear of rear wing has two C19
2-light casements at ground floor, east side of wing has 2 gables, to left cut in
half by addition of early C19 block, each gable has small C20 2-light casement
with earlier timber lintel, 3-light casement with timber lintel at ground floor,
single storey lean-to with C20 door. Interior: rear wing has chamfered and
stopped beams, very thick walls and heavy lintels to doors.
