Farmhouse. C17 origin, C20 alterations and additions. Limestone rubble with
stone dressings, double Roman tiled roof with raised coped verges and brick gable
stacks. Formerly symmetrical front. 2½ storeys, 2 windows, ground floor has
3-light and 2-light casement with ovolo mullions and dripstone, 3-light casement
to right altered for C20 door with lean-to porch added, first floor has 2 similar
3-light casements, 2 similar 2-light windows under eaves,2 ammonites set in wall;
2-storey C20 flat-roofed extension to right, barn attached to left with corrugated
iron roof and door with timber lintel. Left return has loading door to barn and
two doors with segmental heads, one blocked. Rear in 3 blocks, 2 behind main
front, with catslide roof over all, roof light and C20 window in centre block,
ground floor left has 3-light C19 casement. Interior: not inspected.
