G.V. II

Farmhouse. Early C19 with later alterations. Coursed rubble, ashlar, stone
dressings, stone tiled roof with raised coped verges and gable stacks. 2½ storeys
and 3 windows, ground floor has canted bay to left, paired 2-light windows to each
side, with chamfered mullions, hipped roof, central gabled porch with similar
2-light casement to front and door to right, 4-light larger casement to right with
relieving arch; first floor has 2 large gables and central narrower gable set
forward, two 3-light casements with blind slit above, central gable has cross
window. Set back to right, 2-storey wing with 10-light mullion and transom
window with relieving arch at ground floor and 3-light casement under eaves,
quoins. Attached to right a lower 2-storey L-plan wing, 3-light casement with
relieving arch at ground floor front and left, 3-light casement under eaves to
left and similar casement to front gable end with relieving arch and blind slit
above, inner left return has wide opening with timber lintel, 2-light casement
with relieving arch. Right return has 3-light wooden casement at ground floor
and lean-to porch, two 2-light casements under eaves. Rear has varied windows as
on front, gable over rear door with overlight, 3-light casement above, gable end
to east of lower wing has 2 cross windows at ground floor, 2-light casement at
first floor and blind slit above. Interior: not inspected.
