Former farmhouse and attached outbuilding, subsequently subdivided to form 2 dwellings, now refurbished as a single dwelling. Dated 1691 and 1692 but incorporating parts of an earlier dwelling, with later remodelling. Rubble sandstone with squared dressings, part rendered and painted, some painted rubble. Stone slate and slate roof coverings. PLAN: T-shaped house, with late C17 front range built across earlier range to rear, formerly house and outbuilding. FRONT: 2 storeys, 3 bays, with single bay extension to left under common roof. Off- centre doorway with massive chamfered stone surround, the lintol inscribed `A.& P.P. 1691'. Above lintol, an inscribed panel reads `P.P. A.P. 1692. VIVAT REX'. Flanking the doorway are C20 restored 3-light flush mullioned windows, with 8 pane casement frames. Above are lower 6 pane sashes to both floors of the extension. All openings with painted stone surrounds. REAR RANGE: with opposed doorways to centre with stone surrounds and C20 part glazed doors. 2-light mullioned windows to left of doorway with 2 over 2 pane sashes above. Later inserted windows to right of doorway. Rear wall with some former breathers now glazed. Lean-to offshut to rear wall abuts main range. INTERIOR of rear range retains cross passage and heck wall which bears a hearth bressumer. Plain C19 surround set within hearth recess.
