Cottage. Right range C 17 or earlier, left cross wing appears mid C19. Timber
frame, cob and whitewashed brick. Earlier range has half-hipped, thatched roof,
cross wing has gabled asbestos slate roof. Brick stacks at left of early range and
at centre of cross-wing. Early range of single storey and attic, irregular
fenestration, later range of 2 storeys. Early range facade: left single, fixed
leaded-light window inset in blocked doorway. Centre is a 3-light casement with
horizontal glazing bars. Right is 2-light casement with horizontal glazing bars.
Above is a single 3-light dormer window. Left hand range has a 3-light C20
casement with horizontal glazing bars under a segmental arch. Probably C19 tiled,
gabled porch to right gable. "RCHM Dorset vol III Central" p 142, no 22.
