Formerly farmhouse, now house: early C17 with C18 extensions,
extended and remodelled in 1913 by Col. J Saner. Dressed red
sandstone blocks with brick extensions and some C20 timber framing.
Welsh slate roof with stone ridge and brick chimneys. Evolved from
2-room gable-entry house into L-shaped plan. 2-storey 5-bay west
front. Original portion in stone has highly moulded band at 1st
floor. Below are early C20 3-light and a pair of a 2 and 3-light
chamfered mullioned windows. Above are 2 and 3-light wood mullioned
windows in gabled half dormers. Left end bay in brick has original
but moved 3-light rebated chamfered stone mullioned window. Right end
pair of bays have simple brick castellations, a studded door and
wood-mullioned windows with terracotta facemask keyblocks. South and
east fronts have correctly timber framed upper storeys and a gabled
timber porch.
Interior: entry into original portion is alongside a stone heck with
shaped jamb carrying bead-moulded bressumer. In original part are
chamfered ceiling beams. Remaining features early C20.
