11/220 The School House

GV II

School House and former school. 1873. Dressed stone walls and
chamfered stone plinth. Slate roof with stone gable-copings. Stacks
project on the south wall and west wall, with set-offs above the
eaves. L-plan. l½ storeys. 4 bays to the east elevation, coupled
trefoil-lights with straight-chamfered stone mullions. Pivoting metal
casements. Half-dormers have stone gable-copings and one quatrefoil in
each gable. Two doorways, on west wall, at left and right centre,
pointed heads straight-chamfered. Plank doors, studded, C19.
