Attached Cottage and former reading room. Mid C18. Rubble stone
walls. Thatch roof, hipped at left hand, with a stone gable-coping
at right hand. One brick stack at left hand hip apex, C20. One
brick stack at ridge centre. 1½ (left) and one storey. 4 windows,
3-light wooden casements with horizontal glazing-bars. Wooden cills.
Former Reading Room has 2 tall 3--light windows with a high wooden
transom rebuilt. Small square window on the gable end. Front doors
(Reading Room Cottage); plank with a wooden lintel over. (Old
Reading Room) plank with one glass light. Interior: (left hard)
C19 cooking-range in situ. Slightly chamfered ceiling-beam.
