SY 39 NE WHITCHURCH CANONICORUM WHITCHURCH VILLAGE

2/198 Cross Cottage

G.V. II

Single cottage. Mid-C18. Stone walls, rendered. Slate roof, hipped, of
shallow pitch. Large brick stack, left of centre at ridge. Small brick
stack inserted at right hand eaves. Lobby entrance plan with door-case
stair between fireplaces and front door. 2 storeys. 4 windows, wooden
3-light casements with glazing bars. Plank door left of centre below stack
with small canopy over. Interior: 2 back-to-back fireplaces with one
bread oven. Plank doors. Doorcase stair panelled in.
