Farmhouse. C16, largely rebuilt in C19. Rubble walls with blue lias and lias
stone quoins in long and short work. Slate roof with gable ends of low pitch.
One brick stack, right of centre. 1 ½ storeys. 4 windows, wooden casements of
2 and 3 lights with glazing bars. Wooden lintels over. Left hand casement to
former cheese room: cast iron trelliswork to side lights. Front door, right
of centre, wide plank type with heavy round-headed oak frame, straight-chamfered,
C16. Interior: largely rebuilt. Right hand ground floor room has open fire-
place with moulded stone jamb and moulded wood lintel over, late C16. Back
doorway, of same type as front (not aligned). Attached rubble wall along lane
for 25 yards: rubble with some coursed lias.
