The Chantry

A Grade II* Listed Building in Bridport, Dorset

The Chantry

Uploader's Comments

The Chantry was built not long after Bridport received its Town Charter in 1253. ‘Shouldered’ lintels over some of the doors, including a garderobe on the first floor, date it to the late 13th century.
It is regarded as the town’s oldest building.
