Large later C18 house. 3 storeys and parapet. 5 windows (6 bays). Much
higher frontage than No 4 but with attic windows roughly in alignment with
dormer windows in No 4. Frontage of building in recession behind No 4 and
facing directly north. Tiled hipped roof; tall narrow brick stack at either
end. Cornice with modillions and low parapet over. Red brick. 6th window-
less bay in east (containing door on ground floor) recessed slightly behind
rest of buiiding. Windows with flush boxes; glazing bars intact; rubbed
brick voussoirs. Very fine doorway up 4 steps with a pair of Ionic columns
on each side and a long thin window between each pair. Large entablature
with moulding to cornice and pediment. 6 panel moulded door. Side door.
to west with semi-circular fanlight and original door. The south front has
a Venetian window on the 1st floor and a porch with Doric columns, The
brickwork on this side has been renewed. 3 bollards connected by railings
which return to the house in front on either side of doorway.
