C18. 2 storeys and attic, with higher frontage than No 6 and with an extra
storey added in the west. Tiled gabled roof to original portion; flat
roofed dormer window and tall narrow stack at east end; parapet before
roof. Red brick front. Higher western portion with tiled hipped roof with
overhanging eaves and dentilled cornice below eaves. 5 window bays including
2 window bays in westernmost portion (1 window in 3rd storey in west). Brick
stringcourse above lst floor. Sash windows with segmental heads in segmental
arches with rubbed brick voussoirs to ground floor windows and shallower
voussoirs to 1st floor and attic windows. Glazing bars intact in all windows
except in 2 westernmost windows on lst floor. 2 steps leading up to central
doorway. 6 panelled door with 4 fielded panels in reveals with rectangular
fanlight over. Doorcase with pilasters and entablature over. Westernmost
part of ground floor occupied by large window divided into 3 lights with
large plate glass central section.
Western side of house, facing on to South Pallant: 3 storeys; 2 window
bays, with northernmost window bay blocked on all storeys. Sash windows with
flush boxes and square heads; glazing bars intact; lst floor window in
slightly segmental head. An additional sash window with glazing bars inserted
in centre on ground floor. Brick stringcourse returning above ground floor.
Portion to south immediately adjoining this and No 1 South Pallant: 2 storeys;
slightly higher frontage than No 1 South Pallant. Gabled asbestos roof.
Cement rendered. 1st floor window with flush frame and glazing bars; weather-
boarded surrounds. Slightly larger window of similar type on ground floor (not
in vertical alignment). Door in shallow reveals with 4 flush panels.

Nos 2 to 7 (consec) form a group.
