Barn. Probably late C17, adapted for educational use c1980. Internal
timber framing, coursed rubble gritstone, stone slate roof. 2 cruck
bays with additional half bay to south-west end. Some rough quoins,
square vent holes to south-west gable, otherwise recent openings.
Interior has 3 cruck pairs, low, well curved and raised approximately
2 ft from floor. Single purlin, diagonal set ridge in crossed apex.
Wall ties present in all but north-east pair (halvings remain). Some
wind-braces.
