Farmhouse. First half of C17. Timber framed and plastered under a thatched
roof. 2 storeys. 3-cell form. Windows are mainly large-paned casements of
mid C20 date; some older ones to first floor, at front and rear. C20 3-
panelled door. Internal stack. Thatched lean-to addition against right gable
end. Interior unmodernised, the studding either concealed or limewashed.
Reverse-curved wall braces. Some blocked original windows, or evidence for
them, with diamond and chamfered mullions. Both hall and parlour have axial
bridging beams and widely-spaced plain joists, set flat. Tie beam between
hall and service chambers has pronounced curve. Newel stair, some of the
treads original.
