House, built in 2 stages: an early C17 parlour block (once attached to a hall
range to right which has been demolished); and a 2-cell C18 range to left.
The C17 block is of 2 storeys with attic, and the C18 range of one storey with
attics. Timber-framed and plastered, with a little C18 herringbone
pargetting. Concrete pantiled roofs (the left hand range formerly thatched,
and the right hand block plaintiled). Gable dormers with C20 small-pane
casements. A C17 axial chimney of red brick with a moulded plinth now
plastered. Mainly C20 glazed panelled entrance door and lean-to brick porch.
The tie-beam and wall plates of the C17 block have carved brackets. Good C17
close-studding, ovolo-moulded main beams and original newel staircase. 2-tier
wind-braced butt purlin roof.
