Barn at the rear and at right angles to Abbey Farmhouse

Barn. Late C16/early C17. Timber-framed and weatherboarded, with clay
pantiles. Frame in 3 bays, with full height studs in the long walls and
middle rails in the gable walls. Cranked, reversed braces at the corners.
Arched braces to the tie beams. Roof in 5 bays, with 2 rows of butt purlins
and arched windbraces. A C19 red brick and clay pantiled single-storey range
of stabling and outhouses attached to one gable end and projecting forward.
