5/4 Chestnut Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Cl7, C18 extension and roof. Roughcast rubble, slate, raised coped
verges. South elevation, 2 storeys and attic. 5 windows (all Cl9 and C20 casements)
central 3 in taller block, to the left is a semi-circular stair turret. At
rear is a 2½ storey wing, in the re-entrant angle is a good plank door in an
ovolo-moulded front, there are 2 light, ovolo-moulded windows at ground floor
and attic. Interior: inglenook with deep chamfered bressumer; stopped, chamfered
beams throughout ground and first floor.
