Farmhouse.. Late C18. Coursed rubble with rusticated dressed
stone quoins, architraves and stone slate roof with end stone
stacks. South front of 2 storeys, 3 bays. Keyed window surrounds
with 16-pane sashes to ground floor and 12-pane sashes to upper.
Central doorway with moulded jambs and bracketed flat hood; 6-
panel door with upper 2 panels glazed. Three gabled extensions to
the north front with C20 sash fenestration. The building derives
its name from its close proximity to the Fosse Way.
