Probably between 1843-1848. Built on segmental bridge over River Biss. Brick with pantiled roof. Heavily perforated wall panels to allow free passage of air for teazle drying. Three small windows on ground floor and a large glazing bar window to second floor. Raking eaves line. Extension to south east.
Interior: wooden floor pierces arch of bridge (for lowering of wool baskets).
Said to be the only remaining example of such a building in Wiltshire.
Nos. 50 to 58 (consec), workshop at rear of No 58, entrance screen principal Factory and Handle House at Studley Mills form a group.
