House, latterly post office. Probably late C17 with c18 and later alterations.
Coursed limestone rubble with stone slate roof. Three-unit baffle-entry plan, at
right angles to road. Two storeys and attic. South-east front: external brick
end stack to right and brick ridge stack off-centre to left. Gabled dormer
off-centre to right with 2-light small-paned wooden casement. Three windows to
first floor and 4 to ground floor; 2-light small-paned wooden casements with
wooden lintels. C19 four-panelled half-glazed door between second and third
windows from right with lean-to porch and inserted C20 half-glazed door to
right. The second ground-floor window from left is probably a former doorway
(see straight joints beneath). Further straight joints to left-hand ground-floor
windows. The right-hand end bay is probably a later addition (see straight
joint). Interior: spine beams. Left-hand ground-floor room with curved corner
fireplace.
