Dated 1869. Unusual Italianate pair. 3 storeys. 4 ranges of windows. Red brick
with plinth, bands over ground and 1st floors raised to window cills and eaves
band. Incised greek key pattern on side pilasters over which the bands are mitred.
Slab surrounds to windows and doors. The windows have a variety of designs; on
2nd floor - 2 serrated and 2 swagged lintels; on 1st floor - 2 round headed windows
and 2 with incised Tudor arches. Ground floor windows have shallow pilasters and
ogee arches on lintels. All windows plate glass sashes, with some marginal glazing.
Ground and 1st floor windows have brackets below. Round headed doorways to left
of each house, slim pilasters, keys, plain fanlights and heavily moulded door panels
upper panels pointed. Slate roof with bracketted eaves. 2 brick ridge chimneys.
East gable altered. West gable end has bands of yellow headers, 3 centred arch
headed windows to 1st and 2nd floors and shaped window head to gable lit attic
with letters "J (or S) D" and date "1869". Left hand pilaster has "Beaumont Villas"
painted on the band.
