7/104 Heywood Farmhouse

II

Farmhouse, dated IG 1664 extended in late C18, rubble stone with
stone slate and concrete tile roofs. Two storey west front
remodelled in late C18, double-fronted with paired windows each
side in beaded surrounds, centre door in moulded surround with hood
on brackets and raised plinth and angle strips. Front was
originally roughcast. North end stack and half-hipped south gable.
C19 north end low addition. North east rear wing has datestone on
east gable and north side low mansard-roofed addition. In angle
behind front range is late C18 mansard-roofed addition with half-
hipped gable to south paired with south gable of front range to
make near-symmetrical 2-window south front with cyma-moulded flush
mullion windows, 3-light to main floors 2-light to attics.
