Sundial. C17/early C18. Limestone ashlar. Cylindrical pedestal with 4-sided
gabled finial. South side of finial has sundial; east side has small niche with
carved stone head. Sundial forms centrepiece of formal garden of which main
outlines are marked on O.S. map of 1876 and on estate map of 1789 (Oxfordshire
County Record Office, Shrew. X/1).
