The RHS is where the warehouse is located. This view comprises: (i) the original platform on the LHS for the early trains in the 1830s ready for test runs to Liverpool. The stationmaster´s house is also located on the LHS.

This photograph dates back to 1975 before the site was converted into the Science Museum. The background several miles away is Salford, with the Victorian Gasometers in operation.
Since the 1970s, this site is cleaned up beyond recognition, and is open to the public.
