Whitehall)

Row of 3 houses, now 2 dwellings, and perhaps so originally
built. Mid C18. Roughly coursed and squared stone, cut in
small blocks, with stone flagged roofs. Built in two principal
phases, corresponding to the two principal dwelling units. Nos
1 & 3 is possibly the earliest structure: 2 storeys, deep
2-unit plan with off-centre doorway flanked by 5-light stone
mullioned windows on each floor. Additional doorway (formerly
giving access to separate dwelling) in lean-to porch added to
the gable wall. End wall stack. No.5 adjoins this building to
the right. Probably originally a deep single-unit plan, with
5-light stone mullioned window on each floor, extended by one
bay to the right, with doorway to left, and 2-light stone
mullioned window alongside. Stack on gable wall.
