Two houses. c1830-40. Limestone ashlar with Ham Hill stone
lower courses, cills and door cases; slate roof with brick
stacks to each right gable end. Double-depth plans. 2 storeys;
each house is 2-window range. 4-panel doors to the left of
both houses, under fanlights with radiating glazing bars, set
in stepped-back doorcases with imposts to the archivolts. The
fanlight of the house to the right, No.11, retains 3 radiating
panes; flat gauged arches over 8/8-pane sashes, except that to
first-floor left which is C20 with a stone lintel; No.9 to the
left is similar, with a 4/4-pane sash above the door, and some
of the original fanlight with margin-panes, but no ornaments.
INTERIORS not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: both houses are
fronted by low limestone rubble walls with Ham Hill stone
coping, which support spearhead railings.
