Two chest tombs and one headstone. C17 and C18. Portland
stone.(1) Chest tomb with thick ledger slab on cyma mould.
Bold incised inscription to S, heavy square E end, moulded
base on flat platform. Date 16-- can be read, but generally
worn and overgrown (May 1991).(2) Chest tomb with heavy ledger
slab on moulded edge, quarter balusters to chest; skull and
crossbones (E), oval panel with leaf surround (N and S), and
plain W, all on moulded base and very large deep platform. No
inscriptions or date legible, but a mid C18 design. (3) Thick
headstone, with cartouche. Commemorates ...Pearce aged 58,
died 1745. RCHM records various other monuments, but these
have either disappeared or are overgrown.
