Terraced houses. Early C19. Yellow brick set in Flemish bond,
stucco, roof of slate to nos 140 and 144, of C20 tiles to nos
138 and 146, no 142 obscured by parapet. Three storeys over
basement, nos 138 and 146 one window each, the rest two. Nos
140-44 have steps up to round-arched entrance with panelled
pilasters and fanlight with decorative glazing; all windows
with gauged brick heads; round-arched windows to ground floor,
stucco sill band; flat-arched windows to first and second
floors, those to the first floor with individual cast-iron
balconies. Nos 138 and 146 are set forward a little, have
flat-arched entrances in left- and right-hand returns,
elliptical-arched windows to ground floor set under an
elliptical arch of gauged brick, flat-arched windows to first
floor under a round arch of gauged brick; parapet; stacks to
party walls.
