House in row, with shop. Late C18 or early C19 front on C17 or
earlier fabric and rear wing. Rendered front with low-pitched
slate roof, framed rear and wing, with horizontal boarding to
outer gable, tile roof, brick stack. L-plan.
3 storeys, 2-windowed. 4-pane sashes in exposed boxes on wood
cills. C20 shop front in C19 pilasters and consoles with small
cornice mould, aluminium doors to left and right. Box eaves,
stack to right. The back has a tiled slope at steep pitch
above a rendered wall with a 2-light casement, second floor,
left. In the throughway are 3 large chamfered beams.
INTERIOR: at the back of the shop is a section of braced
square panel framing which has been opened up. The wing
(No.84A) has square panel framing to both walls, and various
small casements.
