South of Home Farm House

Farmbuilding. c1835 by W A Nicholson. Coursed limestone rubble and white brick,
with ashlar and white brick dressings. Slate roof with ashlar coped gables with
moulded kneelers. White brick plinth and dentil eaves cornice. Flush ashlar quoins
Single storey. East, gable front blank. North front, has 7 irregular bays. From
the left a glazing bar sash, then 2 stable doors, then a plank door with overlight,
then a tall glazing bar sash, then another plank door, and finally a pair of C20
garage doors. Most of these openings have white brick, segment headed wedge lintels.
This building is part of the complete estate village erected by the Chaplin family
of Blankney Hall. Included for group value only.
