Public house. Early C19, altered late C19. Painted over
hanging slate with some stucco to lower right and plinth;
crested slate roof with brick stacks to gable ends and fretted
bargeboard to left with finial and pendant. Extension to rear
right is limestone rubble with brick quoins and pantile roof.
Double-depth plan. 2 storeys, 5-window range; facade at
right-angles to Furnham Road facing south. Once a symmetrical
3-window range extended to the right in late C19. c1930 door
set in plain rectangular porch between two c1930 metal-framed
windows in square openings with raised surrounds. 1st floor
has 2 early C19 pane sashes and a late C19 two/two-pane above
door. The 2-storey extension to the right is slate-hung only
at 1st floor level with 2 larger, late C19 horned 2/2-pane
sashes. Right return is all slate-hung. Extension to left
return is C20, curved, stucco, single-storey. A long
single-storey extension, set back to rear right running
