Pair of houses. c1830. Brick with buff headers; slate roof
with brick end stacks. Georgian style. 3 storeys; symmetrical
3-window range. Top brick cornice. Paired entrances have
doorcase with fluted pilasters with Greek-key capitals, frieze
and bracketed cornice to 6-flush-panel doors, one with 2
glazed panels. Segmental-headed windows have sills, and
16-pane sashes, 8-pane sashes to 2nd floor; blind central
windows with painted sashes. Rear has sashed windows over
single-storey wing. Part of the early C19 development of the
north part of Stratford, known as New Town.
