House, now flats. c1820. Stucco with ashlar dressings and
hipped slate roof with stucco stacks. Double-depth plan with
central stairhall. 2 storeys; symmetrical 4-window range.
Centre breaks forward under pediment; end piers; 1st floor
sill course and top frieze and cornice. Ground floor has
tripartite windows with 15-pane horned sashes; 1st floor has
12-pane horned sashes. Entrance has projecting
tetrastyle-in-antis Ionic porch, paired half-glazed doors and
flanking 4-pane sashes. Left return has central conservatory
with three sashes with upper rectangular fanlights; flanking
piers with round-headed lights; 2 finials to ends have rich
fluting and scrolls; glazed dome; 2-window ranges to ends.
Right returns and rear have sashed windows; rear lean-to
porch; several stacks with square pots. INTERIOR: stone-paved
hall with cantilevered stair and balcony with enriched iron
balusters, wreathed handrail and moulded nosing to treads;
6-fielded-panel doors.
