9 cottages and a chapel. Early/mid C19. Painted rubblestone,
continuous slate roof (mostly tarred) with brick stacks to
party walls and gable ends. Double-depth plans, 3 to the left
and 6 to the right, form a right angle with a chapel to the
angle.
2 storeys; 9-window range. Each cottage has 2-light windows,
those with small glazing-bar panes being C19, and a C20 door
in a lean-to porch. The chapel has a crested slate roof, a
small semicircular-arched window above a gabled porch with a
cross to the apex, and a semi-elliptical gauged stone arch to
C20 doors. INTERIORS not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: attached to the front left of the
cottages a short brick wall with semicircular arch over steps
to the right. Attached to the rear of the roadside block is a
C19 outbuilding of snecked rubblestone with a pantile roof and
a small stack to the left. It has a timber lintel to wide
planked doors and a single-light window to the right; above
are two doors to a loading bay.
