House. Late C17/early C18, refronted early C19 and altered
c1990. Painted render with double-pitched pantile roof and
brick stacks to gable ends. 2-unit through-passage plan
remodelled in early C19 as double-depth plan. 2 storeys;
symmetrical 2-window range. Low parapet with stone coping and
long/short chamfered quoins. C20 windows and door. INTERIOR:
central cross-beams to the front rooms, that to the left is
chamfered, as is the lintel to an open fire to the left; the
beam in the room to the right has been rounded-off. Plaster on
part of the remaining stud wall to the rear left of the
passage is applied onto reeds, the door to the rear of the
passage is C18 six-panels. Traces of former spiral stairs to
both rear corners of the front block imply that this was once
2 cottages. Traces of thatch to the front block.
