Bank. c1860. Ham Hill stone ashlar, coursed rubble returns,
slate roof and ashlar stacks to gable ends and centre.
Double-depth plan.
3 storeys; 6-window range. Ground floor has 6-panel doors
under plain semicircular fanlights to each side, set-back in
doorcases with plain pilasters and foliate capitals,
supporting arches with simple moulding to inner and outer
edges. These are set slightly forward under a frieze
of alternating roundels and vertically-reeded panels. The 2
central bays are stepped slightly forward on all floors with a
semicircular pediment containing a roundel of a horse on a
shield; a moulded cornice supported by 3 pilasters separates
the central windows. All the windows have beaded reveals,
1/1-pane sashes to the ground floor, 2/2-pane sashes to the
first floor and 2/2-panes to the second, set in recessed
semicircular-arched surrounds with aprons of polychromatic
tiles, resting on a string course. There is also a string
course at impost level and a thin moulding following the shape
of the arches and absent keystones to the 4 outer ranges.
