Market house. Rebuilt c1813. Ham Hill stone ashlar with Ham
Hill stone slates to lower 2 courses of hipped roof and slate,
probably Delabole, in diminishing courses to ridge; rolled
lead ridges. Square plan. Single storey; 3 open bays to each
side; a Tuscan-style pillar with circular stone seat around
the base, supports the centre of the roof. Bays are
articulated by engaged Tuscan-style columns. Each bay has a
depressed arch with keystone, resting on square Tuscan-style
engaged piers, the capitals forming imposts, the bases resting
on low wall between main columns. Central bays to east and
west are open entrances.
