Pair of houses. Dated 1853. Coursed and squared stone blocks with
ashlar dressings; hipped plain tile roof with shaped tile bands and
alternate crested ridge tiles; coursed and squared stone ridge stack
and integral end stacks. L-shape plan, front range aligned NE-SW facing
SE and rear range aligned NW-SE facing NE; Neo-Norman style. 2 storeys;
4 windows, paired round headed glazing bar casements with central
chamfered mullion; round headed doorway to left of centre with C20 glazed
door, dedication stone above with inscription: "1853 / THESE SCHOOL
HOUSES OWE / THEIR ERECTION TO THE REQUEST / OF HENRY PRINCE OF MAYFIELD".
