GV II

Former stables. Early C19 with C20 alterations. Ashlar with chamfered
quoins; flat felted roof; brick integral end stack. Gothic style.
1 storey; 5 bays, 2 lancets to each side of a central pointed doorway
with chamfered. jambs and voussoirs. South gable: Pointed doorway to
left with chamfered jambs and voussoirs, and unicorn motif between arch
and door; pointed window to right. North gable: Tallet steps to
left leading to former loft door (the lower half remains) with chamfered
jambs; blocked pointed doorway with chamfered jambs and voussoirs to
ground floor right. Interior: 3 wooden stalls to centre flanked by
balustraded loose boxes, one with sliding door; saddle room to north.
The former loft and slate roof was removed in the late C20.
