Farmhouse; C15 core with alterations of early C17 and early C19. 3-cell lobby-
entrance plan; 1 1/2 storeys and attics. Timber-framed and pebble-dashed.
Slated roof with axial chimney of red brick. Mainly C20 casements and C20
panelled entrance door. The core consists of a 2-cell open hall house, with
twin service rooms, having lodged upper floor structure, at the left-hand end.
Fragmentary remains of original coupled-rafter roof with smoke-blackening above
open hall. Upper floor inserted into hall early C17 and new parlour block
built at right-hand end; chimney built with open fireplaces to hall and
parlour; roof renewed, of clasped-purlin type. An ovolo-moulded mullioned
window exposed in the parlour. The rear 2-storey wing added early C19.
