Lime kiln. Probably mid C19 for the Stockton and Darlington Railway Company.
Thin coursed squared sandstone, with kiln lining possibly of yellow brick. 4
segmental arches with voussoirs on short piers continuous with arches; tall
front wall has courses of vertical stones below top and as coping. Left kiln
has 2 keyhole arches at rear of domed lining; remaining 3 kilns damaged or full
of rubble.
