at Longfords Mills
GV II
Cottage (29), cartshed (31A) and stovehouse (32 and 33). Early C19
(pre 1813), stove lengthened 1842. Coursed limestone rubble; gabled
stone slate and asbestos roofs; ashlar ridge stack to 29. Long
rectangular plan with Building 29 forming parallel range to SW end.
North elevation built into embankment. SW elevation: Building 29 of
2 storeys has window under eaves and segmental-arched window and
double doorway (segmental-arched doorway to W gable); Buildings 32
and 33 have 2 double doors and window.
Interior: collar truss roof to Buildings 29 and 31A; collar-truss
roof with cast-iron shoes to purlins to Buildings 32 and 33 which has
slatted drying floor and wooden framework.
